Kept Kitty

Yes, this is me, a gray kitty, sleeping in a gray kitty bed. I find it quite comfortable, and soothing. Hummmmmm....but, I guess if a human found themselves sleeping in a human bed...well, that would just be a little scary. Nonetheless, it is just one of the many luxuries lavished upon me. I am quite a kept kitty, with multiple beds, toys, laps, blankets, and more hugs, and pets, and coos than you can imagine. My days are filled with loving attention, napping, playing with my mouse "Bitty", tossing a milk ring and tormenting Rebound and Volley - they are a story for another day. Mama doesn't ask or expect anything from me, but I always find myself purring and directing slow, loving, half-closed blinks her way. You know that's kitty for "I Love You".

Invasion of Neighbor Kitty!

It’s been awhile since our last visit, but I am a busy kitty. Recently, mama’s “save the kitties, save the world” mentality as thrust me into a position of asserting my dominance, since she has now brought my nemesis…Neighbor Kitty, into our home to co-mingle! From what my kitty mind understands, is that Neighbor Kitty is not allowed in his home, however, his mama and papa have constructed quite the kitty set-up in their garage, complete with kitty condo, kitty bed and kitty door, so Neighbor can come and go as he pleases. However, Neighbor was pleased to be in our garage! Thanks to mama leaving the garage door slightly open to accommodate him. He was sleeping in a cardboard box, full of scrap wood, on the top of a shelf instead of sleeping at his house. Mama, worried that Neighbor was getting too cold during the evenings, so she made him a bed, and let him hang out with my family. Now he sleeps here every single night! There’s no love,...

but he’s not so bad…as long as I remind him who’s boss!
